Our Mission

It is our mission to advance the Kingdom of God to your home, in your home and through your home.

We are determined to equip the saints to do the work of the ministry in our home and in your home.

We are determined to strengthen the family unit because we believe that it was the first institution established by God following the creation of Adam and Eve.

We are determined to train the saints in how to clothe ourselves in the presence of God and carrying Him with them everywhere they go…not just in the four walls of the institutional church.

We are determined to see our community changed as we are obedient to the call of God to “go and make disciples”.

We are determined to see converts made in the marketplace, church and especially homes.

In Matthew 28:10-20, Jesus instructs the disciples with a very important message, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of age.”

If Jesus himself wants us to make disciples of all the nations, then how can one do this? Why not start a new church? Not any church, a Penecostal Church empowered by the Holy Ghost to set captives free. A church that will not make empty promises it cannot keep, but one filled with power that teaches practical applications of the sacred scriptures.

A church like…Valley First Assembly of God!

Core Values

1. We Value Christ’s Headship

We acknowledge Christ as the Head of CMC and submit our activities and ourselves to His Will. (Eph 1:22, 23)

 2. We Value The Bible

We acknowledge the Bible as the only authoritative, inspired and infallible Word of God free from error and it is our rule for faith and conduct. We teach the Bible with integrity and power and make the Bible the foundation of all we do.(2 Tm 3:16, Mt 24:35, Ps 119)

 3. We Value Prayer

We acknowledge that Prayer is power! We acknowledge that prayer can bring about changes in people, churches, and the community. We acknowledge that private and corporate prayer must bathe all planning and execution of all ministries and activities of CMC. We acknowledge that Prayer in its basic form is simply talking to God.(Mt. 7:7-11, James 5:16, Mt. 18:19-20)

4. We Value Worship

We acknowledge Worship as an expression of the believer’s love for God. We Worship God because of: Who God is, What God has done, and Our love for God. We acknowledge that individuals must come together for corporate Worship of the Creator of the Universe. We acknowledge that there is liberty given to individual expression for worship, done decently, and in order. (Rom. 12:1, Isa 43:10, Ps 92:4-5, 1 Jn 4:19, Heb 10:25)

5. We Value The Baptism of the Holy Spirit

We acknowledge that believers should pursue the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and that this Baptism is available to all believers. We acknowledge that the Baptism of the Holy Spirit will empower us in the ministry of God’s Word and God’s Will. We acknowledge that the initial physical evidence of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is speaking in an unlearned language. (Acts 2:14, Acts 1:8)

6. We Value The Family

We acknowledge that every member of the family is important to God and is thereby important to CMC. We acknowledge that we encourage the strengthening of the family unit through Bible based teaching and encouragement which results in a stable home environment. We support the spiritual nature of the family as one of God’s dynamic means to carry on the Christian Faith. (Mt 19:14, Jam 1:27, Ps 127:1)

7. We Value Lost People

We acknowledge that we will pursue, convert, and disciple the unchurched, lost people of the Valley, the State, the Country, and the World. We will use every Godly means available to seek and find, that which is lost! We acknowledge that it is God’s will for all believers to be involved this pursuit. (Mt 28:18-20, Acts 1:8, Luke 19:10)

8. We Value Relationships

We acknowledge that healthy Relationships are a vital part of the total Christian life, therefore we encourage fellowship among the attendees of CMC. We commit ourselves to each other . . . to be there when needed. (Acts 2:42, Col 3:12-17)

9. We Value Unity

We acknowledge that Unity must be maintained in order to see the full power of God at work. Therefore we will not participate in gossip or back-biting and will make every effort to keep the bonds of peace. (Col 3:12-17, 1 Cor 1:10)

10. We Value Excellence

We acknowledge that God sent His best to us, and therefore we must strive for excellence in all of our activities and ministries. We acknowledge that each believer should be challenged to give God the best of their time, talent and resources because we know that God is worthy of our best. (Col 3:23, 2 Tm 2:15)

16 Fundamental Truths
1. We BELIEVE…The Scriptures are Inspired by God and declare His Design and plan for mankind.

2. WE BELIEVE…There is only One True God–revealed in three persons…Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (commonly known as the Trinity).

3. WE BELIEVE…In the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. As God’s son Jesus was both human and divine.

4. WE BELIEVE…though originally good, Man Willingly Fell to Sin–ushering evil and death, both physical and spiritual, into the world.

5. WE BELIEVE…Every Person Can Have Restored Fellowship with God Through ‘Salvation’ (accepting Christ’s offer of forgiveness for sin). [1 of 4 cardinal doctrines of the A/G]

6. WE BELIEVE…and practice two ordinances—(1) Water Baptism by Immersion after repenting of one’s sins and receiving Christ’s gift of salvation, and (2) Holy Communion (the Lord’s Supper) as a symbolic remembrance of Christ’s suffering and death for our salvation.

7. WE BELIEVE…the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a Special Experience Following Salvation that empowers believers for witnessing and effective service, just as it did in New Testament times. [1 of 4 cardinal doctrines of the A/G]

8. WE BELIEVE… The Initial Physical Evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is ‘Speaking in Tongues,’ as experienced on the Day of Pentecost and referenced throughout Acts and the Epistles.

9. WE BELIEVE…Sanctification Initially Occurs at Salvation and is not only a declaration that a believer is holy, but also a progressive lifelong process of separating from evil as believers continually draw closer to God and become more Christlike.

10. WE BELIEVE…The Church has a Mission to seek and save all who are lost in sin. We believe ‘the Church’ is the Body of Christ and consists of the people who, throughout time, have accepted God’s offer of redemption (regardless of religious denomination) through the sacrificial death of His son Jesus Christ.

11. WE BELIEVE…A Divinely Called and Scripturally Ordained Leadership Ministry Serves the Church. The Bible teaches that each of us under leadership must commit ourselves to reach others for Christ, to worship Him with other believers, and to build up or edify the body of believers–the Church.

12. WE BELIEVE…Divine Healing of the Sick is a Privilege for Christians Today and is provided for in Christ’s atonement (His sacrificial death on the cross for our sins). [1 of 4 cardinal doctrines of the A/G]

13. WE BELIEVE…in The Blessed Hope—When Jesus Raptures His Church Prior to His Return to Earth (the second coming). At this future moment in time all believers who have died will rise from their graves and will meet the Lord in the air, and Christians who are alive will be caught up with them, to be with the Lord forever. [1 of 4 cardinal doctrines of the A/G]

14. WE BELIEVE…in The Millennial Reign of Christ when Jesus returns with His saints at His second coming and begins His benevolent rule over earth for 1,000 years. This millennial reign will bring the salvation of national Israel and the establishment of universal peace.

15. WE BELIEVE…A Final Judgment Will Take Place for those who have rejected Christ. They will be judged for their sin and consigned to eternal punishment in a punishing lake of fire.

16. WE BELIEVE…and look forward to the perfect New Heavens and a New Earth that Christ is preparing for all people, of all time, who have accepted Him. We will live and dwell with Him there forever following His millennial reign on Earth. ‘And so shall we forever be with the Lord!’
